Question:
Paint Horse clubs in IL?

I'm, so-called terribly in love with the Paint Horse breed. I'm not sure when we (my family) are going to buy a horse, but I know probably in the next to years. I'm thirteen, and have loved horses, and asked for one since I can remember. So you'd think I'd already have a breed picked out? Nope! So far I want a true, possibly pure-bred Paint Horse mare. So that possibly in the future I might be able to breed her, and have a foal. It's not somthing I take lighting, so don't get hyped.
Can anyone tell me any websites for Paint Horse clubs, and associations, and 4-H clubs for Paints in Illinois? Plus how many of you own, and enjoy your Paint? I need feedback! Thanks so much!

Hi, I have owned Paints for 6 years now. I bought my first one because I was getting tired of showing a horse that looked like all the other horses out there. It's fun to have something a bit different from the crowd! My current mare is especially cute, she has one blue and one brown eye.

I also like the fact that most Paints are quiet and laid back. I am a middle aged adult so I do not want a horse that is interested in spending most of its time bucking me off. I live in Canada and belong to both the Canadian and Albertan Paint Clubs. If you go onto Google and type in APHA you will find the Americain Paint Horse website. They will be able to give you a listing of all the State Paint Horse clubs. Or else you can go onto Google and tyle in Illinois Paint Horse Club, or try Illinois Paint Horse Association, and I'm sure you'll come up with something.
