Question:
HS Weekly Discussions?

Well as some of you know I have started up these weekly discussion thingys to help promote healthier and happier lifestyles for our horses through education on horsemanship, common illnesses/conditions, injuries, and safety, and also an attempt to help bring the regulars together to make the HS a better place for us all.

I thought I was doing the right thing by being mature enough to unblock members whom I've had discrepancies with in the past so that they too could be included in these discussions as everyone here has something to offer, as well as making my Q & A public to make the discussions easier to find.

Well apparently there are some who arent so mature and have decided to stalk my every answer and report half of my questions. So in an attempt to maintain my main account I have made this new one to use for the discussions. I will have to answer enough questions per week with this account to be able to post the weekly questions and reposts as well as employ the voting system for topics. So that is why you will notice I have 2 profiles.

LQ- Do you want to continue these discussions? Are there any changes you would like to see made in the format?

I personally enjoy reading them, though I do not participate in them due to the discussions being very specific and/or being in an area that I am not very knowledgable in. I personally would like to see them continue.

I haven't answered on any of the discussions just yet, because I don't feel like I have the knowledge yet to contribute, but I do certainly enjoy some of the topics and have learned a good deal on some of the subjects. It's a shame it's become such a hassle to keep it going. I've liked it so far. Only thing that bums me out, is I sometimes miss out on the discussions because of the time differences.

If it continues to keep getting reported and deleted, I suggest going on a discussion board site of some sort and moving it there. I would certainly follow.

I do want these discussions to continue. They are very educating, and some have actually surprised me with how little I know. Like OS, sometimes I feel like I don't have enough knowledge to contribute as mainly just ride and train, I'm not good at getting down to the specifics in medical care or treatments... I like the format but I wish more could join in with simpler discussion topics :S I'm pretty simple minded if you ask me... :)

I really enjoy the discussions - I occasionally take part when I have a little time on my hands to write something legible (my brain is often half herp and half derp by the time I get on my laptop at about 6pm :P

I don't think anything needs to be changed, apart from the person that keeps reporting you - very mature thing to do when we are trying to take part in a discussion

The numpty's will always be out there, but good on ya for wanting to keep it going. I expected more response to last week's subject but maybe it is because not everyone was given sufficient time to comment, so extending it is a good suggestion by you. I must say that the answers given by the others last week were excellent and it was informative for me as a riding coach. So keep it up and whatever, where-ever I will give my input when relevant.
