Question:
Good Winter Riding Boots For Me?
?

So I am trying to find some good winter boots to ride in, but I'm not sure what to get. The website listed below are the ones I want (I have tried them on and everything) but after reading more review on them, some people have complained they scratch their saddle. I ride in a friends saddle or my trainers so if that happened it would not be good!! I've been checking out the blizzard brand but they seem to be sold out. Does anybody have any recommendations for good winter riding boots (that aren't $200.00!) or does anybody have these boots? I really need to get some soon, my feet are freezing!

I own the Mountain Horse Rimfrost boots and absolutely love them for winter riding and mucking out stalls. In my experience I've never had an issue with them damaging my saddles. If you don't want to invest in a pair of Mountain horse boots I would recommend BOG or Joule boots.

According to my riding book, rubber boots cause more cold to seep in than leather ones. I don't know if you have rubber or leather boots. But they recommended adding a second sole, and thick riding socks. That might help while you look for a good pair. Amazon usually has a good selection of things, with varying prices, so I'd try there first, unless you can find a saddlery near by.

My adult daughter used these. She never said anything about them scratching a saddle. However, she also rode in the zip up insulated riding pants that probably covered the top of the boot.

If you have a store near you go to Timberland they don't specialize in riding boots or anything but thier product is amazing they have insulated boots weather resistant,waterproof...anything your looking for in footwear you can find it there...check out the website timberland.com to find store in your area don't buy online unless necessary as you will pay too much through website

You mostly need them now however for those who could wait until round or after christmas you can get a $a hundred pair of boots for 10 or 20 bucks. I acquired a $50 pair of boots for $10 final christmas. It must be very almost christmas or just after to get the satisfactory boots. You'll be amazed.
