What is your thought on Hunting on Horse back.....?

Ok...... I love Hunting and i love the fun that you have on Hunting..... What are your thoughts on hunting and do you always fun on it??????

I like hunting; in fact my 16.3hh is an ex-hunter (training to be eventer) I haven’t had him long so I can’t wait to find out what he’s like. I went hunting with my old one and loved it, so much adrenalin!

I don’t know about you but you but I find we never catch anything anyway. Also it annoys me when people say that its not their fault that they kill. Well evidence shows that foxes also kill for pleasure (hence why they only sometimes seem to take away the body’s of the chickens they kill) and yes it is in their instincts, but its in ours as well.

ETA: Fox hunting is fun, I even like the toffery of it all. Game hunting on horse back does sound incredibly dangerous. For so many reasons.



Though I will say, game hunting is essential now that humans have eliminated large populations of natural predators. Because there are no predators (or very, very few) in certain parts of the country, game hunting is necessary to keep populations of deer and other game in order. Without it, they breed uncontrollably and wreak havoc on the ecosystem.

I like hunting but i'm of the opinion if you use animals to hunt then we as humans at the top of the food chain should eat the hunt animal if it fails to deliver the goods, i hate hunting for sport i honestly don't see the sport in dogs ripping a fox to shreds or a badger after it had it's back broken or was shot with a .22. Hunting on horseback, the whole point of hunting is to kill other animals for food. A horse throws a shoe falls breaks it's leg it's get the knives out lads tonight we eat cheval a la francaise.

I love hunting too :) But, I have never hunted on horseback. I have talked to people who do it and love it though.

I think mock hunt`s (with people or fake scents) are fun and would love to try it.

Are you talking about fox hunting? Is so then yeah, thats super fun considering we don't kill the fox. Actual game hunting on a horse sounds dangerous. I don't like game hunting in general, people need to leave wildlife alone.

I think it would be awesome. If I had a good mounted shooting horse I would totally do it!
