Set the saddle on a saddle rack with the seat facing up. Locate the pommel of the saddle. The pommel is the raised, center point at the front of your saddle.
There are nailheads on both sides of the pommel. Choose one nailhead and measure in a straight line from the center of the nailhead to the center of the cantle. This measurement represents the seat size; it should be in half-inch increments.
Hope this helps!

Just FYI...most "regular" (ie: adult) english saddles are in the 16"-18" size range. Smaller than that, you are looking at a childs size saddle.

Personally i would take it too a saddler they won't charge for just looking at it when you have the correct sizing

It should be stamped somewhere with seat and tree size.
