9 - im not not positive as i would say surcingles are on rugs or used as an overgirth but im gonna guess - training as you use what i would actually call a roller to put on a young horse.... altho i would also say its a vaulting roller too.... hmm i wasnt much help there!!!!! but 10 - is definately the irish martingale.

9- vaulting surcingle is used for vaulting, but surcingle is also used for training a young horse by getting them used to girth pressure.

How embarasing - Australia wins medals in dressage, jumping ode etc so they definately use more than one saddle.

vaulters often use them and you train young horses with them.

Irish martingale.
