We don't know if it is going to be a colt or filly but the mom's name is Feather. We want to stick to something that fits with her mom's name. Her last foal was named "Duster" like feather duster. It also needs a show name.It doesn't have to be to fancy.

Like the feather cleans something and then it beams with cleaness and shininess???? LOL I have no clue, but I like the name beamer, LOL!!!

And for a show name?:

One Beaming Feather

I believe Arabians traditionally are named by compilation of both the sires and dams name.

For example, I had an Anglo Arab by Count Garland out of Dancers Rose

His registered name GaRoDan.

So you see, its just a mix of Garland/Rose/Dancer.

Does that make sense?

Fearless Feather

Light As A Feather

Birds Of A Feather (like the saying...birds of a feather stick together)

its hard without knowing what gender the horse is or what he looks like, maybe wait until it is born to name it.

You are sure counting chickens. Wait until it is born to name it! So much could still go wrong at this point, when it is born, post some pics and then ask again, methinks. I'm not trying to be harsh but realistic.

Hmm. If it was a colt I'd pick Ares ( Like " Airy") and if it was a filly I'd pick Plume. As for a show name : Filly: Feather's Fauna ... Colt: Feather Freedom's Cardinal. Hope I could help!!

for alot of purbreds they tend to include the mothers and/or fathers name. just like you did with duster. so you can play off that. it is also common to go back a couple of generations to find a good name. for ex. my horses name is Naisha her sires name was Nashions dynasty and her grandsires name was Naishon. (shes also a purebred arab)

hope i could help. good luck with the naming process

If it's a boy:

Hawk

Native Hawk or Soaring Hawk

If it's a girl:

Sparrow

Dancing Sparrow

I'm not all too sure on these names, but the name would fit if it had something to do with a bird, right?

feather, bird, idk. Sorry I couldn't help more.

I think you should wait until it is born. It will be easier to determine once it is born.

I would wait till the horse is born that way you can see what color, gender etc......
