I have a lead rope with a chain on it. I got one because my horse is very pushy. I cannot find a video of how to put it on over the nose. Could you put a link to a good video or give me step by steps instructions? A picture would help me.
Thank you for your help!

step 1. put the halter on your horse, this will only work with a nylon or leather halter it will not work with a rope halter
step 2. take the snap and run it through the side peice where you would snap cross ties to,
step 3. pass the chain under the nose band
step 4. take the chain and make a loop over the nose band
step 5. clip it to the other side where you woulkd clip a cross tie. this picture may help http://media.photobucket.com/image/horse%20with%20chain%20over%20the%20nose/amandaicon88/halter.jpg hope this helps ♥

Just like Driver said:
1.) The loop where you would attach the clip, put the chain through the loop
2.) You can clip it to the buckle (on left, or right hand side of halter), run the chain through the middle and or continue around the nose if its long enough.
If you're lunging your horse with the lead rope and chain, it helps when its attached to the buckle on the outside of the circle your lunging. Pulling his nose in towards you, helping get his attention, for a distracted/misbehaving horse :P
You will only be able to do this with a leather, or nylon halter. A rope halter doesn't have the buckles to latch onto, and if it's not tight enough, it could just get twisted up.

Well you should have a halter that goes over that horse's face. there is a ring that's under the horses chin and that's where you put the lead rope. its not really that difficult. now if you're talking about a "stud chain" so that the horse cant pull its nose up then that goes across the nose and clips under the chin.THEREFORE basically you just need to attach the little buckle facing the front of the horse's chin .
it is a video on a person putting a lead rope on his horses step by step fpr people to follow
HOPE I HELP....

You start at the bottom, where you normally clip the leadrope on. Instead of clipping it there, run the clip and chain all the way through that ring. Then, run it through the ring at the side of the halter at the nose, then across to the ring at the other side of the nose. If you have a shorter chain, just clip it on the second side ring, but if you have a longer ring, you can continue around the nose until you get back to the ring you started with, and clip it there.

Ground work the horse and you wouldn't need a chain, thats just cruel!

There should be a snap on your horse's halter, just hook the chain to the halter, hold your horse by the halter while you do this.

Not that hard. you put it through the side square on the halter the the other and attach it
